Choose Women Wednesday - December 4th

Choose Women Wednesday is observed annually on the Wednesday after Giving Tuesday, which this year is December 3rd.

It is a global call to action to support women entrepreneurs, leaders, and creators.

This day encourages individuals, organizations, and communities to celebrate the achievements of women while addressing the ongoing challenges they face in achieving equality.

The Origins and Mission of Choose Women Wednesday

Launched by the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO), Choose Women Wednesday was created to shine a spotlight on women’s contributions to the global economy and society.  The initiative recognizes that investing in women has far-reaching impacts, from lifting families out of poverty to fostering innovation and economic growth.

Women make up a significant portion of the workforce and contribute to all sectors of society.  Yet, they often face systemic barriers, including unequal pay, limited access to capital, and underrepresentation in leadership roles.  Choose Women Wednesday seeks to break down these barriers by encouraging targeted support for women.
