Record Low Housing Inventory Is Good News For Sellers!
It looks like the spring season is going to be a competitive one for Buyers.
According to recent data from realtor.com, national housing inventory dropped 13.6 percent from January 2019 to January 2020. Not only is that the steepest decline in over four years, but it also marks the lowest level of available homes for sale in the US since realtor.com started tracking the data back in 2012.
The good news!
While the inventory shortage might make it hard to buy a home this Spring, it also makes it a great time to sell. Because there aren’t a lot of properties on the market, there is likely to be fierce competition for your home, which can drive up the value. So, if you have been thinking about selling, looks like this spring should be a great time to make a move.
