61 Percent of Americans Say Now Is A Good Time To Purchase A Home!


At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, many Buyers put their home search on hold, thinking that the uncertainty made it an inopportune time to buy.


But as the country moves forward with reopening, that sentiment is changing—and the majority of Americans are finding that now is a great time to buy a home.


According to the June Home Purchase Sentiment Index from Fannie Mae, 61 percent of Americans said that now is a good time to buy—up from 52 percent in May. The percentage of Americans who said that now was a bad time to buy also decreased from 39 percent in May to 27 percent in June—which means the net share of Americans who said it is a good time to buy increased a total of 21 percentage points.
